Green Father’s Day Gifts

What do you buy the man who has everything?

Buying gifts for Dad always seems to be a challenge. How about getting a little creative and ‘green it up’ this year.

I started a ‘Green Gifts for Him‘ tab at my store to help out.

Gadgets are always fun for dad, but solar powered gadgets are fun and ‘green’. He may like a solar powered IPhone or Blackberry charger, or sound station. Maybe he needs a new calculator orradio/flashlight/phone charger combo.

How about a Klean Kanteen?

These stainless steel water bottle alternatives are a great way to protect the ones we love from being exposed to harmful chemicals that leach from plastic water bottles into our water. It also keeps them out of the landfills.

Travel Thermos Mugs also make great Daddy gifts. They can take it with them to get their morning cup of Joe instead of using paper cups. (Click HERE to see a past blog post about why we should bring our own mugs to get coffee).

What about an Electric Lawn Mower? Not only to they reduce our reliance on foreign oil,  and reduce harmful emissions, they are also quite!

It seems like men are always looking for new shaving cream. With all the research that has come out recently about the dangers of cosmetics, a nice gift would be Paraben, Preservative, and Petroleum by-product free gift set that includes shaving cream, moisturizer and cleanser.

I also think a great gift is a donation made in some one’s honor. Check out my ‘Take Action‘ tab for links to some worthwhile charities.

Have a happy and healthy Father’s Day!
