Portable, Healthy, Family Travel Snacks

Snacks are one of the most important things to remember to pack when traveling with kids. Blood sugar drops can make for cranky little ones, so can blood sugar hikes, and boredom.

A good snack will be easy to carry, full of protein, fiber, and antioxidants so no one is sick on your family vaca.

I always pack trail mix with pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, walnuts, almonds, raisins and goji berries. I also pack small boxes of raisins, plenty of water and I take the following prepackaged snacks.

So far I’ve only tried the blueberry pomegranate trail mix crunch, but MB Naturals has tons of other snacks on their website ( that look amazing!

These have everything you need in a good snack; convenience, fiber and protein to balance blood sugar, and antioxidants.

Peter Rabbit Organic Fruit Purees are a great way to get real, organic fruit when you’re on the road. There are no other additives, or ingredients – just fruit!

They are also great for the kids to suck on for take offs and landings.

I always have Pure Bars in my purse and my car. I usually pack a case of them in my suitcase when we are on vacation. They are totally raw, and packed with protein, fiber and antioxidants.

We are taking off in a few days, and I’ll be packing all of these!
