Eco-Friendly Non-Toxic Kids Lunches

Weather you’re sending them off to camp or school, lunches are a potential source of waste and toxins.

A typical child generates 67 pounds of trash each year from their school lunches.

Instead of using disposable bags, try using reusable stainless steal containers. I like the Kids Konserve containers. Stay away from plastic containers that can leak toxins into your child’s food.

Klean Kanteen makes a great water bottle that’s small enough for kids. There are BPA-free bottles on the market, but there are a lot more chemicals than BPA that will leak into your child’s water from plastic, including phthalates.

Instead of using a disposable bag for sandwiches, try using a reusable, washable bag; I like the Snack Taxi.

Packing an eco-friendly lunch will not only help the environment, it will save you money!

Here’s a picture of my son’s lunch bag….

And here’s a quick demo……..
