I’ve been dry brushing for many years, and I don’t go a day without it.
It gets the lymphatic system going, which greatly helps the immune system, and helps you detoxify. In turn, your skin looks great, and you’ll notice a decrease in the appearance of cellulite.
The immune and lymphatic systems are two closely related organ systems that share several organs and physiological functions. The immune system is our body’s defense system against infectious pathogenic viruses, bacteria, and parasites. You have more lymph fluid in your body than you do blood. But, your lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump like your circulatory system does so dry brushing gives it a little push to work properly. People with chronic inflammation, compromised immune systems, infections etc. have more sluggish lymphatic systems so dry brushing helps move the pathogens through more quickly and lowers inflammation.
When you’re not feeling well, and notice your lymph nodes are inflamed, try dry brushing. You’ll notice the lymph nodes go down right away. Getting your lymphatic system moving when you’re not feeling well is critical, and it will greatly accelerate healing.
You need to use a firm brush, which takes some getting used to. I started with a soft one, and worked my way up. You can get them on Amazon, higher end markets, and many other online sources.
I dry brush before I shower and/or before my saunas. It only takes a minute, so it’s very easy to add into your routine. Like anything, it’s just about making it a habit. Start with the bottom of your feet, work your way up your legs, up your back and abdomen, and up your arms. You want to go toward your heart. Do about 10 strokes in each area. Quick, brisk strokes. Not too hard, but not too soft. Anything that involves moving your lymphatic system generally makes you feel better and more energized, so you will most likely like the way you feel after, and want to keep it up.

Sorry I just saw your comment! Yes, it really works. Even my 4 year old does it before her baths. Monkey see monkey do 🙂
