As many people now know, eating grains can be very difficult to digest, and cause inflammation in many as well.
Personally, I just feel better when I don’t eat them. Occasionally I do want a sandwich with a wrap, or have some gucamole, or salsa with chips. I was thrilled when I saw Siete at Whole Foods, and other local markets. Their chips are made with cassava flour, and anti-inflammatory avocado oil. Cassava is starchy, so it shouldn’t be used all the time, but I do eat the chips a few times a week because I love a good salty crunch, and I love guacamole.
Their tortillas area all delicious, and come in many different varieties. They’re options include chickpea, cassava, al and flour, and coconut flour.
Of course, whole foods that don’t come from a box, or bag is always the best, but sometimes we need to indulge, and enjoy the convenience.
